Frequently

Asked Questions

  • How long will I be in therapy for?

While everyone’s situation, including the individual strengths that they bring and the unique challenges they’ve experienced, is different, my goal for you is to help you develop applicable tools as quickly as possible to help you feel empowered and independent in your life. This means that we’re going to set clear goals together and work towards those goals in a focused yet gentle way.

One of the best gifts you can give yourself is patience as you give yourself time to allow yourself to heal and grow, and know that it’s my goal to help you feel better as quickly as possible.

12 isn’t a magic number, and people often participate in therapy for longer or shorter, but by 12 weeks or sooner, I expect you to be feeling like you’re liking the direction you’re moving in, even if not all of the goals you set to accomplish have been achieved. The more you put into your personal growth, the more you will get out of it.

I invite you to a free, 15-minute free consultation with me to see if we’re a good fit.

  • What's your therapy style?

I’m optimistic, holding space for all the good things that you want but don’t quite feel like you have yet, and I’m patient with your process, and at the same time, I’m here to help you get stuff done =) I’m really excited that you’ve chosen to make this step in your wellness and honored that you’ve chosen me to be on this journey with you, and you’ll hear that come out in our conversations. My style is collaborative, not just me telling you what to do or you venting for almost an hour then logging off, but us working together to help you get done what you came here to do with compassion, courage, and hopefully some smiles along the way. I pull from frameworks that have been proven by research to help you take the steps you want in your life in an effective way.

  • What if I can't afford your rate?

Thanks for your honesty! Please reach out anyway. If we’re not able to come up with an arrangement that works for both of us, I will do my best to connect you with therapists or resources that may be able to accommodate your situation or needs.

  • I don't identify as a woman. Do you still want to work with me?

Absolutely! I’m so glad to hear that you are taking steps to improve your wellness! In addition to holding an intentional space for women to experience healing, I am excited about helping all people heal, grow, and thrive. Let’s talk about how I can support you.

  • I'm not BIPOC/AAPI. Do you still want to work with me?

Yes, definitely! I welcome you and your unique story, and I hold a nonjudgmental, assumption-free space for you to explore and grow. You are welcome here.
